[Dovecot] passdb: password contains illegal chars question
Hi,
some question about passdb backend:
I'll receive this (using dovecot 2.0.13, pgsql passdb backend) for some users:
mail dovecot: auth: passdb(account-username,127.0.0.1): Attempted login with password having illegal chars
Password schema ist crypt-md5. So what "chars" does dovecot not like (why?) and whats the preferred way to fix this?
regards
Torsten

There are very few illegal characters for password. They're all control characters, so no real user should be using them: \001, TAB, CR and LF.
