Is it possible to install dovecot imap / pop3 with mysql authentication, with postfix as mta and with squirrelmail as webmail ? Is it reliable for production state ? I'm working with courier-imap but I don't like it.

The dovecot wiki doesn't have informations to compile, to configure and to use dovecot with mysql auth, a how to is necessary.

MySQL setup is somewhat documented with proxy feature http://wiki.dovecot.org/ImapProxy
I'll see if I could write MySQL howto in Wiki tonight.
