[Dovecot] Lazy expunge for performance ?
Some filesystems are quite slow at deleting files, so I'm wondering if anybody is using the lazy expunge plugin to implement a solution where expunged messages are moved to a separate directory structure within the same filesystem, and later deleted as a nighly batchjob ? Assuming expunge renames/moves messages, and don't do a copy + delete..
Does something like this make sense ?

Should work. Alternatively you could use mdbox.
