vpopmail + qmail + dovecot + thunderbird = huge headache ;-)
alright, when attempting to connect via imaps to my .maildir based vpopmail install, $user@$domain is having some problems. /var/vpopmail/domains/$domain/$user is the location of the user folders with vpopmail and yet dovecot isn't exactly passing on the domain :-\ i'm not sure if this is a pebkac issue or if it's the root of something far more evil, but this is really bothering me after about 4 days.
i've got dovecot set to auth against vpopmail and i'm running a dovecot authd. i know that i've given very little information, is there any way that someone can ping me back requesting the particular information they need to properly diagnose this?

With 0.99.13 and later use:
auth_verbose = yes auth_debug = yes
Those should print to logs what it's trying to authenticate against. Or did it get past the login but fail somewhere later?
If the problem is internal to vpopmail, I have no idea.
