Hi
I tried re-subscribing and still, I get not emails with kmail.
Outlook appeared to pick the change in Subscription file automatically.
Any other ideas, or should I drop the IMAP connection and re-do it?
Do you even see the mailbox list?
Maybe kmail got somehow confused and recreating the IMAP account entirely would be easiest way to fix it.
Hi
Dropping all mail accounts and recreating with kmail provides no, or ONE, email in each folder.
Confihuring Evolution, which I dislike, picks up all emails, like Outlook.
Can I assume that there is a kmail/dovecot problem here? Has anyone seen this before and fixed it?
All the best!
Simon

Looks like kmail's IMAP code doesn't like the changes in the way Dovecot returns replies. Thunderbird had a similar problem, but kmail breaks even more badly.
Hmm. Maybe I should do something about it.. Or maybe those clients should just fix themselves.

You had given a patch to fix this... Is it OK to use it or is it just a kludge with possible counterside effects ?

I don't really remember such patch.. :) But it most likely just changed the order in which the replies are sent. There's no side effects in that.

Yes, I remember that. But I doubt that would fix kmail? Thunderbird had problems with only message size, but kmail doesn't see the messages at all. I'd guess it wants the message UID to come in the first line of the reply instead of after requested headers..
Hi Simon,
Seen the kmail problem before, gave up trying to fix it and switched to Thunderbird.
