[Dovecot] Folders compat. problem ?
Hi
A user here has a strange problem when I moved my imap server from UW-IMAP to Dovecot.
A folder created monthes ago with mozilla mail (windows client) became suddenly invisible when I stopped UW then started Dovecot.
I really think that IMAP created folders a fully compatibles between UW and Dovecot but I'm curious to know from where does come this trouble ???
Anyone had experienced the same problem ?

Dovecot uses a different file name for it's subscriptions file. UW IMAP: .mailboxlist, Dovecot: .subscriptions This could cause folders to disappear if the client is set to show only subscribed folders.

OK thanks for the info.
Now I read on this wiki the "mail location" paragraph for UW-IMAP and I wonder if it is safe for me to *only* have the following :
mail location = INBOX=/var/mail/%u
and if not why ?
