[Dovecot] www.dovecot.org misconfigured?
I am having difficulting getting to www.dovecot.org and wiki.dovecot.org. My browser tells me it can't find them. Anyone know what's up?

Fine from here. Perhaps your upstream DNS is down or broken?

It is working now. Based on another thread, it seems that this was a problem in Finland.

The problem is not resolved yet. dovecot.org may resolve for some people where nameservers have valid entries in their cache but the primaries are still inaccessible.
It looks like Timo is aware of the problem (and is changing things), but it may be a while (24-48 hours) before it is all sorted out. The .org TLD servers have different NS records than yesterday:
$ dnstracer -4oq ns -s . dovecot.org Tracing to dovecot.org[ns] via A.ROOT-SERVERS.NET, maximum of 3 retries A.ROOT-SERVERS.NET [.] (198.41.0.4) |\___ TLD6.ULTRADNS.CO.UK [org] (198.133.199.11) | |\___ ns.dovecot.org [dovecot.org] (80.64.10.60) | \___ ns.ytti.net [dovecot.org] (62.236.255.178) Got authoritative answer
<snip>
ns.ytti.net (62.236.255.178) dovecot.org -> ns.procontrol.fi ns.ytti.net (62.236.255.178) dovecot.org -> ns2.procontrol.fi ns.ytti.net (62.236.255.178) dovecot.org -> dovecot.org
Although ns.ytti.net is authoritative for the domain, it is reporting the wrong NS records (the procontrol.fi servers are not resolving at all) and ns.dovecot.org is not authoritative at all (hence it returns no records).
If that wasn't enough, the .org TLD servers disagree as to what the correct address for ns.dovecot.org should be:
$ dnstracer -4oq a -s . ns.dovecot.org Tracing to ns.dovecot.org[a] via A.ROOT-SERVERS.NET, maximum of 3 retries A.ROOT-SERVERS.NET [.] (198.41.0.4) |\___ TLD6.ULTRADNS.CO.UK [org] (198.133.199.11) Got answer | |\___ ns.dovecot.org [dovecot.org] (80.64.10.60) | \___ ns.ytti.net [dovecot.org] (62.236.255.178) Got authoritative answer
<snip>
TLD1.ULTRADNS.NET (204.74.112.1) ns.dovecot.org -> 80.64.10.60 TLD2.ULTRADNS.NET (204.74.113.1) ns.dovecot.org -> 80.64.10.60 TLD3.ULTRADNS.org (199.7.66.1) ns.dovecot.org -> 80.64.10.60 TLD4.ULTRADNS.org (199.7.67.1) ns.dovecot.org -> 80.64.10.60 TLD5.ULTRADNS.INFO (192.100.59.11) ns.dovecot.org -> 80.64.10.60 ns.ytti.net (62.236.255.178) ns.dovecot.org -> 213.157.71.38 TLD6.ULTRADNS.CO.UK (198.133.199.11) ns.dovecot.org -> 80.64.10.60
Depending on which DNS resolver you are using, you may or may not be able to hit the web site or send e-mail to the list or check out CVS.

Oh. Looks like I forgot to update the actual DNS entries. Changed now.
BTW. I had to move quickly out of my previous apartment and I'm now
2-3 weeks with only GPRS internet connection at home, which sucks
quite badly. So I'm probably not doing much coding or email reading
for a while..
