[Dovecot] Dovecot And ThunderBird
Hello All!
i`m using Dovecot 1.2.4 and Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 (Ubuntu)
Trouble with shared folder and marks. For example:
- first user set flag "important", other users can see it - all ok.
- first user unset flag "important", other users see it yet, it
s dont change.
But with asterisk (\Flagged) all OK.
Please help find - who are wrong? ThunderBird or dovecot?

file dovecot-shared in shared maildir presents, and flag \Seen are private.

Most likely Thunderbird. But you could verify that by looking at the
IMAP traffic, either in Thunderbird http://wiki.dovecot.org/Debugging/Thunderbird
or with Dovecot's rawlog http://wiki.dovecot.org/Debugging/Rawlog

I think i misunderstood trouble in first time. When flag unchecked by creator - all works well. But if first user set flag important, and second user uncheck this flag in logs appear this:

as see from log some error appears to second user, and Thunderberd get
right flags for letter (without $label1) BUT! Thunderbird don`t unset
this flag ...

Most likely Thunderbird. But you could verify that by looking at the IMAP traffic, either in Thunderbird http://wiki.dovecot.org/Debugging/Thunderbird or with Dovecot's rawlog http://wiki.dovecot.org/Debugging/Rawlog

Looks like a Thunderbird bug. Report it to them. Or perhaps try Thunderbird 3 beta to see if it's fixed already there. There's anyway nothing Dovecot can do about this.
