In an email client, tasks accumulate and are queued using the IMAP protocol

Hello.
By default, the email client uses 4 IMAP connections. However, tasks often hang, and changes to email statuses made via the web interface are not reflected in the client.
I tried enabling imap-hibernate, which cleared the queue, but the issue with updating email statuses persisted.
Is this a problem with the email client or the Dovecot server?
