[Dovecot] Sending log messages too fast

What does this error message means?
IMAP(xxxxx@yyyyy.com): Sending log messages too fast, throttling..
It appeared twiche on the same user during a period when the server was very high on CPU load
I don't know if it is related, but the user later told me that Thunderbird forced a reload of all the messages.

Have you configured the mail_log_max_lines_per_sec setting?
Please provide always the output from dovecot -n.

This can also happen if you use the debug option of dovecot.
