[Dovecot] Is 1.0-test stabilising?
Has Timo backed off work, and been busy with something else, or has 1.0 really stabilised that much?
Seems to me just a couple of weeks ago we were seeing a new test release every few days... now there's been nothing all month...
I'm hoping it's ready for release... but if it's just that Timo's busy, well, I can understand that. We're about to receive some new servers, and I hope to migrate from 0.99 to 1.0 as we migrate to the new machines.

I seem to remember Timo mentioning something about a small holiday ... it might be around now. you'll have to check the archives.

Oh yes... I do recall seeing that.
Well, what are other people's opinions? How stable is it for you?
I will be using it under Solaris 9, using maildir, and passdb-file authentication. However, I wouldn't mind trying the NTLanMan auth recently added, as the same machine will be a running Samba as a PDC.
Anyone know of any of those features that are not stable in 1.0?
I have set up a 1.0-test32 server at home, on an old Sparc5, but it's hardly under any sort of load.

I had some kind of holiday, but I've also recently been working on larger changes which have taken quite a long time to get working.
One of them is using nonblocking network sockets everywhere. That change is basically finished, except after I'm now actually trying to use it I'm getting all kinds of random problems. Hopefully there's only one problem left but that might be a bit difficult to find.
So, next test release will probably be less stable than previous ones. Luckily there aren't many large changes left anymore in my TODO before 1.0.
