[Dovecot] How do i load a configfile ?

I'm not sure what you mean. dovecot reads the config file from 
installed_prefix/etc/dovecot.conf file (ie. usually 
/usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf). imap-login executes dovecot which does 
that too.
