[Dovecot] newbie question - no users can retrieve email (login works) pop3

Is there anything in log file (/var/log/maillog or something)?

Also you should set default_mail_env correctly to have both "root mail 
directory" and INBOX. See http://wiki.dovecot.org/moin.cgi/VirtualUsers
