[Dovecot] maildir creation

I don't know about qmail, but I mantain a very similar configuration 
(postfix+dovecot+maildrop+ldap).
I use Maildrop (http://www.courier-mta.org/maildrop/) to deliver mail to 
the user's virtual mailboxes. Maildrop distribution include a command 
(maildirmake) that create the maildir structure but not automatically.
The virtual delivery agent included in Postfix create automatically the 
maildir structure if it doesn't exists, perhaps qmail can do that too.
If not, you must create it when you define a new mailbox.
