[Dovecot] bug: very strange behavior with pop3

It does, which is probably why it gets stuck there? Are you using
v0.99.x? Since you're killing lots of process of the same user, the
problem may just be that the user's POP3 client is broken and leaves
connections hanging.

1.0-stable/test releases use much less locks, maybe they would help..
