  That pattern had a typo in 1.36 (it"s fixed in CVS).  There"s an extra
  space after the optional "dovecot: " section that needs to be removed:

  $pat = "^(... .. ..:..:..) \S+ (?:dovecot: )?(?:imap|pop3)-login: " .
      "Login: \S+ \[(\d+\.\d+\.\d+\.\d+)\]";
