Apparently no one at Ubuntu cares I guess.  The nature of Open Source is 
if no one cares (or gets paid to care) nothing happens.

I've toyed with the idea of making Ubuntu packages myself but I'm really 
busy right now so anything like that would have to be a distant second 
priority to the Debian packages.
