[Dovecot] Problem with pop3 and alpha3

I don't know. I'm not tried with a real client but only with telnet.
I would like to be sure that everything is correct before try with
outlook/Eudora/thunderbird at all.

Is the client generating mail not found errors when this happens?  If so
it may be related to the problem I am seeing.
