>From some earlier digging in auth-request.c it seems dovecot replaces
the username with what it gets from the db as user. To check this out,
turn on auth debugging (auth_verbose = yes and auth_debug = yes, I'm not
sure which one does it) and look for the line:

username changed user at domain.net.ua -> user

That's the give away. As for a solution we'd need more information about
yoru configuration.
