It already is, I guess you're using an old version:

	* src/lib-storage/index/: dbox/dbox-storage.c,
	  maildir/maildir-storage.c, mbox/mbox-storage.c: Allow creating
	  mailbox names with '*' and '%' characters. They don't break
	  anything anyway.
