We do allow the same thing over port 25, but only for backward compatibility.
(If you try using either port without STARTTLS+AUTH, it will not work.)
And of course for those non-standard MUAs (i.e. older Outlook) we also do
support port 465 (SSL) and require AUTH there as well.
