[Dovecot] Slower than Courier-IMAP

This paper is a year old, and dovecot has changed a LOT since then. It 
is, in fact, in most cases, much *faster* than courier-imap...

So you definitely have a problem...

First some basics... you didn't even say what version of dovecot?
