[Dovecot] Broken Debian package

Thanks for the fast reply!

Looks like Debian Dovecot itself is actually OK. To determine this firstly I
created a new user and find I can connect to the new user's inbox using
squrrelmail OK, but some old users dont work....

I next connected to another user's account and that works fine...

so I assume its a "format" issue of the mail structure for that one
user...The Q is how to re-instate/repair the existing mail box for the old
user(s)....is there a script I an run to repair? or update the format?

As below, test is the new user and is OK, phoebe is an old user and is OK,
user thing is broken....
