[Dovecot] Problem of using dovecot as sasl implement for postfix

Hi list

I install postfix dovecot on my debian etch box
I install them via apt-get

I want to use dovecot to be postfix sasl implement,but i got the following error message
in the mail log:

I wonder why private/auth does not exsit
