See the PLAIN(rakka). It assumes the '$1$f82..' is in plaintext, while
it's really md5-crypt. Set default_pass_scheme = md5-crypt to
dovecot-sql.conf.

Dunno. Above the private field appears to be "-" (the one after unix). I
don't know why Postfix would see it as "--n".
