[Dovecot] Bug in MEMORY INDEX ? [v 1.1.16]

When setting a 

 

CONTROL directory that does not exists (has to be created by dovecot upon
first login)

AND

INDEX=MEMORY

 

Dovecot POP3 will fail upon first login with 'Couldn't init INBOX: Internal
error occurred. Refer to server log for more information.'

 

Temporary fix seems to work fine patching
dovecot-1.1.16/src/lib-storage/index/maildir/maildir-util.c
