Ummm... standard list nomenclature:
DOES NOT PERTAIN TO DOVECOT = OT
OT = Off Topic

Ok, so you're using postfix. This is an FAQ on the postfix list.
The kernel determines how mail is routed...
More info is needed to even begin, like output of ifconfig and postconf
-n for starters...
Logs may be needed later... but this would be better pursued on the
postfix list...
