that was clear, but I want to make sure clients don't need
reconfiguration after migration.

I don't know the namespace concept before. That's the hint I'm looking
for. And there is special a paragraph about my case:

  Backwards Compatibility: Courier IMAP
  You can continue using the same INBOX. namespace as Courier: 
  ...
