[Dovecot] Limit the number of pop/imap requests

Hello Group,

is it possible to Limit the number of pop/imap requests to Dovecot?

I read the Wiki and found

   max_mail_processes = 512

is this the way to limit this ?

dovecot --version
1.2.15
