[Dovecot] dovecot default service

thanks for you help ,and i still not resolve my issus.
i what dovecot as postfix's stmp auth and imap server,so iguess its must
have auth process and imap process,official documents also have more
processes than 5
i try telnet localhost 110,and telnet localhost 143,i got :
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.
