[Dovecot] dovecot default service

i install dovecot 2 and when i try ps auxw|grep "dovecot"
i just get only 5processes,

my os is redhat 5.4 and i just install like ./configure  make &make install
i don't what's wrong?i also test on centos 6.2,and result is the same
does anyone has the same issue?and what should i do to fix this?
