[Dovecot] Received: header showing 127.0.0.1 after switch to dovecot LDA?

Hi all,

I'm guessing this is correct behavior, but wanted to make sure...

I noticed that for locally delivered messages (between 2 local users
inside our domain, so they never leave the server), the first Received:
header line content changed after I switched to the dovecot LDA.

Before, using postfix/virtual for delivery, the header looked like this:

Received:
from [192.168.1.25] (client.example.com [192.168.1.25]) by
smtp.example.com (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 67E33A20542; Wed, 6 Jun 2012
10:55:55 -0400 (EDT)

But now it looks like this:

Received:
from [127.0.0.1] (client.example.com.com [192.168.1.14]) by
smtp.example.com (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 4EEF7802AF325 for
<me at example.com>; Wed, 15 Jan 2014 18:29:17 -0500 (EST)

so, 2 questions...

1. Why does it show 127.0.0.1 instead of the client IP, and

2. Why did postfix/virtual include the "for <me at example.com>;" but the
dovecot LDA doesn't?

Thanks,

Charles
