doveadm -D and -v options

According to doveadm-dsync man page the above two options are valid, but 
they are rejected when used:

backup: invalid option -- 'v'

This is with 2.2.16 (latest -hg).   Looks to me like either a bug, or 
the documentation (man doveadm-sync) is incorrect...?
