Interface for managing users?

Hey all,

I'd like to use dovecot as an testing/benchmarking IMAP server for
switchboard (https://github.com/thusfresh/switchboard).

As part of the tests, I need to add and destroy dovecot users. Is there
an interface or tool for this sort of user management at a higher-level
than editing the user store, e.g. passwd-file, sql, ...?

Also, more generally, are there any tools for using dovecot to test
against?
