Use doveconf, not dovecot (although they may do the same thing).<br>

doveconf -a just shows you ALL settings, regardless of whether or not<br>
they are set in your particular config.<br>
<br>
doveconf -n shows you the settings that your running dovecot is actually<br>
using.<br>
