No, i am using 0.99.10, under FreeBSD 6, compiled from the ports tree.

There is no evidence of the server crashing, nothing in the logs, no
dumps, everything continues to work fine afterwards.

Thats correct. It almost seems like something is timing out. When i run
the search, the disk usage goes to 100%, after about 30 seconds
squirrelmail returns the obove error message, but the disk keeps on going
for another 30 or so seconds. Single word searches on the other hand are
almost instant, and the disk used is low (as if it used some index to
perform the search, but not with two words). Let me know if you need more
information.
