[Dovecot] Trouble with Dovecot

What do you mean "differently" about my root?
Dovecot is in group called "mail" like sendmail etc. This group has full
permissions to mail directory.

What version are you running?

I had a similar problem on Solaris but it was fixed around test52.   If 
your root user is set up a bit differently, or your dovecot user is in 
the wrong group, can cause this too.
