I'll reiterate my earlier suggestion...

Just have wiki.dovecot.org be a landing page with very prominent links
to each version. wiki1.dovecot.org would be the wiki for 1.x, wiki2 for
2.x (and wiki25 could be for 2.5 if it needs its own), and wiki3 could
be for 3.x...
