Restoring a deleted imap folder from backup to user Maildir

Check out:

doveadm mailbox list -u <<user>>

If the folder does not show up, check out the server logs, access 
permissions, ...

If it's there, force Thunderbird to reload the folder structure by 
clicking on the triangle left of the folders or top most mailbox name.
