This is exactly what imapsync
(http://www.linux-france.org/prj/imapsync/) does. It's a bit slow, but
you can split the userlist in multiple parts and use multiple machines
to increase performance.
Trying to make bits uncopyable is like trying to make water not wet.
The sooner people accept this, and build business models that take
this into account, the sooner people will start making money again.
