Yes, that's why I found it a bit weird that they didn't really work with
Dovecot. I guess it doesn't like some part in this:

 - create tmp file
 - link() to .lock file
 - unlink tmp file
 - write to .lock file
 - rename() to destination file

Because the destination file was left empty.
