Mainly it's about adding support for more IMAP commands (e.g. SEARCH), so that it doesn't necessarily have to be used as a rather dummy storage. (Although it always has to be possible to be used as a dummy storage, like it is now.)

Currently because imapc_* settings are global, you can't have more than one imapc destination. This will be fixed at some point. Otherwise this works the same way as other storage backends: You create namespace(s) for the folders you want to proxy.
