[Dovecot] dovecot not logging after upgrade to 2.1.7 on debian

Exists for squeeze and sid, but not for wheezy.

The preferred syslogd for debian is now rsyslog:

"apt-get install rsyslog" pulled the new syslogd in, and now "doveadm
log find" reports meaningful values:
