Please don't top-post...

Some ideas:

1) Show full output of 'doveconf -n'
2) How do permissions of the socket look like? Show full output of 'ls
-al /usr/local/dovecot/var/run/dovecot/'
3) Do you use SElinux or some other access control system? Any output in
syslog/kernel logging?
