Hello, I'm running Dovecot v1.0.alpha5 and I'm trying to get the quota plugins to work. I've enabled modules in dovecot.conf, but when the IMAP connection is opened, the log shows undefined symbols. : Loading modules from directory: /usr/local/lib/dovecot/imap : dlopen(/usr/local/lib/dovecot/imap/libtrash_plugin.so) failed: /usr/local/lib/dovecot/imap/libtrash_plugin.so: undefined symbol: quota : dlopen(/usr/local/lib/dovecot/imap/libimap_quota_plugin.so) failed: /usr/local/lib/dovecot/imap/libimap_quota_plugin.so: undefined symbol: quota : dlopen(/usr/local/lib/dovecot/imap/libquota_plugin.so) failed: /usr/local/lib/dovecot/imap/libquota_plugin.so: undefined symbol: dict_transaction_commit The source shows that the modules are read by reading the module directory and loading each of the found .so files. Supposing that the ordering of the files in the directory is wrong, I've even recreated the module directory manually, copying the libs into it in different orders; no change. It seems to me as though there are cross-dependencies in the shared libs that cannot be resolved. Has anybody found it to work or could anyone give me a hint on how to get it working? I wrote a filesystem quota plugin for use with dovecot-0.99.x some time ago. It's been tested with both Solaris and FreeBSD, and is currently used on a production Solaris server with 20k users for exactly the purpose you describe - SquirrelMail quota display. If anyone's interested in looking at the code with an eye to extending OS support or accelerating conversion to the 1.0-alpha codebase, let me know and I'll get around to making it available somewhere. On the other hand, Timo made some noises about committing something similar to CVS, so it may be worth waiting. Robin

[Dovecot] LDAP schema for mailLocation?

Hi, I would like to try implementing user specific default_mail_env's as described here: http://wiki.dovecot.org/moin.cgi/MailLocation using the LDAP attribute 'mailLocation'. However, I have been unable to find any LDAP schema which contains mailLocation. What schema is this attribute part of? Thanks, Jason Pepas

[Dovecot] Feature Request - Different SQL queries to retrieve pop and imap auth tokens

Hi! I world like to have different queries to let a user use pop only or imap only (webmail) accounts. It would really be very useful. I have not found any workaround get it working with dovecot. Could it be possible ? It should not be too difficult, I suppose. Max

[Dovecot] messages_count too large (2578 > 2566) Help!

Hi, I'm having trouble as of about noon today. I noticed I wasn't getting any new messages in Thunderbird. I restarted it and still nothing. I looked at the log, and found nothing from dovecot for a long time (since perhaps noon today). I restarted dovecot, but still it didn't get me new mail. I finally removed dovecot.* in my Maildir folder and restarted dovecot. I'm using 1.0alpha4. [Dovecot] Auto-expunge

Hi, For some time we've been intermittently experiencing a problem whereby dovecot often automatically expunges "deleted" messages. This has happened across several mailboxes. The problem is proving difficult to isolate as it's seemingly non-deterministic in nature. One commonality, however, is that the "auto-expunge" seems to occur with greater frequency on mailboxes with a larger of deleted messages. First off, does this sound any alarm bells for anybody else? Perhaps others have encountered this in the past? I've trolled the mailing list (and web) but cannot find any references to this occurring elsewhere. Additional Information: We have experienced this "bug" in 1.0-alpha3 and alpha4. Underlying dovecot we have a maildir, populated via Perl's Mail::Box::Maildir module. i am using redhat as3, sendmail, xinetd ipop3 and imap, i installed dovecot and configured, when i stop xinetd and start dovecot , after successful startup , and using web to access it getting authenticaion errors, user/password unknown __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? My setup: Solaris 9, dovecot built with gcc 4.0.2. Mailboxes on remote NFS file mount from another S9 box (mbox format), index files local disk. IMAP usage only. [Dovecot] pam_authenticate() failed:

Obviously I have an account. This is Solaris 10. I have been tinkering with the /etc/pam.conf without success. Does anyone have a solution?
