Hello, I have used mb2md for an individual user like this: su ~username cd ~ ./mb2md -m This converted /var/spool/mail/username mbox to /home/users/username/Maildir just as I expected. To convert 100s of users the same way would be a chore (su as each user for permissions, etc.). Is there a way to batch process all /var/spool/mail/$USER to /home/users/$USER/Maildir with the correct permissions/file owners for each user?

Dear all i'm planning a transparent migration from a courier server that provides both IMAP and POP3 access to users to a remote dovecot server with both IMAP and POP3 access. I have to migrate about 2500 users for 250 GB of space. I'm using dovecot 2.2.5.4 on debian6 squeeze. To make a transparent migration i have to maintain old IMAP UIDs and POP3 UIDs, so i've read http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Migration and http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Migration/Courier and http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Migration/Dsync And decided that probably the best tool to use is Dsync, as the courier-dovecot-migrate.pl<http://www.dovecot.org/tools/courier-dovecot-migrate.pl> script works only locally. I've tested the dsync following instructions reported above but after the migration of one test-account the client re-download messages. If i want to keep both IMAP UIDs and POP3 UIDs i have to sync both imapc and pop3c with two commands? doveadm -o imapc_user=foo -o pop3c_user=foo -o imapc_password=bar -o pop3c_password=bar backup -R -u user@domain imapc: doveadm -o imapc_user=foo -o pop3c_user=foo -o imapc_password=bar -o pop3c_password=bar backup -R -u user@domain pop3c: Or imapc is enough? Hello, just upgraded one of my testing machine from dovecot 1.2.15 to 2.0.7. Hi, I'm running every week in cron "doveadm expunge -A mailbox Spam before 30d" and monthly "doveadm quota recalc -A". After the upgrade to dovecot 2.2.12 (from 2.1.17), "doveadm -A" sometimes exit with this error: doveadm(user(a)domain.com): Error: User listing returned failure doveadm: Error: Failed to iterate through some users # echo $? 75 If I re-run the same command the user where doveadm stops changeing (always in alphabetical order): info@ mario@ pippo@ zazza@ and finally, after 3 or 4 run, ends with success. I have enable debug (via doveadm -D and auth/mail debub in 10-logging.con) but there are no errors or difference in the log when doveadm exit with the error (error code is 75). If I run # doveadm expunge -A mailbox Spam savedbefore 30d doveadm works fine Can somebody help me? [Dovecot] Postfixadmin/MySQL/Dovecot 2 and quota

Hi all, I'm setting up a new email server based on the softwares list below: * Postfix * Dovecot 2.0.9 * MySQL * Postfixadmin 2.3.6 My current problem is I'm unsure whether quota feature is well configured or not. In order to test and validate, I use Roundcubemail GUI which provides percentage of the space used by the mailbox (quota should be applied per mailbox). If I add this line: quota_rule = *:storage=1G in conf.d/90-quota.conf file, it works, I mean roundcubemail gets and shows information (but not the one stored in db of course). Does anyone know if the use of LMTP (or even the dovecot LDA) still loses the x-original-to header that the postfix vda adds and that I rely heavily on (since I use a lot of aliases), and if it does, is there any solution to get the original recipient added back in before final delivery? Everything I'm reading says that LMTP is better, but I really do need this header (or one like it) to be there so I know who the original recipient was (for filtering and other purposes). [Dovecot] quota-status not working in distributed environment

Hello List Quick overview of our set-up: Postfix / Dovecot (2.2.2.1) / MySQL Cluster on (at the moment) three Servers to create a HA environment where you could easily add additional servers as the demand or load grows. Circular dovecot replication is used so each server uses another one as replication partner and allowing one server to fail. Dovecot Proxy Feature being used, so we can use round-robin DNS and each server can forward the connecting user to the correct 'master' for his mailbox. So far, everything works as expected. Now we want to reject emails to 'full' mailboxes during SMTP to prevent backscatter and use the quota-status policy service from within postfix. That works fine, if the mailbox or it's replica is present on the machine where quota-status is called, but it fails if it's run on a machine where neither the mailbox or the replica is present. In our case, we get a correct SMTP 550 'Mailbox Full' Reject in two cases and a LMTP generated bounce in the later case. Also `doveadm quota get -u user(a)example.com` return the correct quota if run on the two machines which have the mailbox and it's copy locale, but return 0% used if run on the other machine. Is there a way to get quota-status to also use the proxy feature to request the quota information from the correct machine? Or is the postfix policy daemon call to the quota-status socket documented somewhere (it must be, but where?) so we could implement it from within the Milter? # 2.0.11: /usr/local/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: FreeBSD 8.2-STABLE amd64 Dovecot stops with the following logged: - master: Fatal: kevent(): Invalid argument I have found that a diff was created for "src/lib/ioloop-kqueue.c" for a similar issue: http://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2010-November/054855.html I have patched my system with this and haven't seen the problem since, but I don't know if this is a coincidence. Could you please explain if the diff should actually fix anything or just add some more logging in case it stops again? Best regards Henrik Larsson
