I updated cyrus2courier to work with Cyrus v2.2.12 and v2.3.9. It also migrates now keywords (first 26 of them). I call this version 1.5.ts, at least until (if) an official v1.5 is released. You can get it from http://dovecot.org/tools/

[Dovecot] sieve in centos rpm

Hi Everyone, i installed dovecot-1.0-1.2.rc15.el5 with yum on centos 5.0, everything works fine but I can't find the sieve plugin. Is it not included? When I search for sieve with yum I find cyrus-imapd. Thanks

[Dovecot] plus-address delivery

Forgive me, if this has been previously discussed. I researched as best I could. I couldn't find anyone mentioning it. Please treat me as a newbie. I've recently set up postfix, amavisd-new/SpamAssassin, and dovecot. All three utilize a user database in a MySQL db (on the same host). So far, so good. The problem: I wanted amavisd-new to deliver an e-mail above the "$sa_tag2_level_deflt" to the spam mailbox inside each user account. To accomplish this, I've instituted (best as I can tell) "plus addressing." The idea, if I have this correct, is that if a spam message is being sent to "<user>@<domain>.<tld>", amavisd-new will change the receiving address to "<user>+spam@<domain>.<tld>". The "+spam" will translate to the mailbox named "spam" within the structure of "<user>"'s mailbox. I think the important lines from the amavisd-new config are: @addr_extension_spam_maps = ('spam'); $recipient_delimiter = '+'; Long story short, (too late) the e-mails are being delivered, but to a completely new mailbox called "<user>+spam". For example, when I list the directory "<domain>.<tld>", I now see two mailboxes (as opposed to one): "<user>" and "<user>+spam". Is there something I need to configure within dovecot to have it recognize "plus addressing", or should it do so by default? I'm certain I've just missed something really simple. [Dovecot] Drafts, Trash, Sent

Hi, I'm testing a dovecot installation using thunderbird as imap client. The first user I configured has regolar folders: Drafts, Sent and Trash, and thunderbirs shows each one with its icon. The second user shows these folders with a standard icon, and I'm not able to save email in sent. I cann't understand why there is this difference, and how dovecot manage these folder. Can anyone help me? Thanks a lot Roger

[Dovecot] MIME Decoding Problem

I am having a recurring problem with Dovecot 1.0.8 failing to MIME-decode certain messages. The client is Mulberry 4.0.8. The messages causing the problem seem to be MIME messages with "no parts". I.e. the message has some MIME encoding, but is just included as the message body. The kind of effect I will see is a proliferation of untranslated =xx codes, or in some cases an untranslated base64 block. I.e. I see the raw text from the message body with no MIME decoding at all. When this problem happens, if I close the folder, ditch the .imap directory on the server for this folder, and reopen the folder, the problem has gone away, I can view the message just fine. So, I don't believe it's a client problem. (And Mulberry is probably the most IMAP-knowledgeable client out there ...) We are setting up a Dovecot over a pair of NFS which mirrored with DRBD +Heartbeat, under Debian Etch AMD64 with Kernel 2.6.22-5. The problem was slow header downloading rate. We had tried to use postal to inject 500 emails which are under 5KB each, but when ever we start up Mail.app, Thunderbird or even OE6, the header download rate is terrible slow. Its look like a few sec for just 1 header download from the strace of the dovecot process, sometime, it maybe longer and this leading to the MUA hang. We had tried dove 1.0.rc15-2etch3, 1.1beta13... and the following configuration is for 1.1beta13. [Dovecot] Create IMAP folders on first login?

Hello list, I am currently playing around with a virtual domain/virtual user setup and thanks to the documentation on both the Dovecot and the Postfix websites things are going swimmingly (apart from an oddity I will post separately about). On trying things out with different newly created virtual users I wondered if it was possible for Dovecot to create certain IMAP folders on the first login of the user? So that folders such "Drafts", "Sent" and "Trash" are created automatically for each new user (upon login). Or is this a job for the mail client, or for the admin who creates the new users? TIA!
