Hi, I am using dovcot on a Fritz!Box (Linux fritz 2.6.19.2 #1 Fri Apr 18 16:00:34 CEST 2008 mips unknown) And after upgrading from 1.0.9 to 1.0.15 I am getting above assertion, when I do some action like moving or deleting on the IMAP mail box using MailDir on ext2 fs. I use --with-ioloop=poll as build configuration. I am getting a different assert, when I compile dovecot with --with-ioloop=epoll and --with-mem-align=4 For dovecof configuration see below details. [Dovecot] fs quota check with server does not support rquotad

Hi, Last time, I have got no reply, hope this time is better. OS: Solaris 10 Dovecot version : 1.1.1 file system of /var/mail : NFS from Solaris file system of /home : other NFS server that not support rquotad. Here is my setting that works: ---------------------------- plugin { quota = fs:INBOX:mount=/var/mail quota2 = fs:home:noenforcing:mount=/home/h1 } The above settings works. Dovecot able to report the quota information on /var/mail. However, when I try to append some mail to mail folders on my home drive, dovecot will produce following errors. Hi Friends, I'm running postfix 2.2.10, dovecot-0.99.11 and openldap -2.2.13 in my organization. Here, all my postfix, dovecot, saslauthd, depends on ldap only. Means ldap is acting as a centralized database for user information. In this picture everything is working fine except user login to dovecot for downloading their mails. Actually they can't able to login to the server from client like outlook express. Instead thay are geting error like "server closed the connection...". Here i'm attaching my dovecot conf file and error log. [Dovecot] Private flags and shared keywords

Hi all, With some help of this list, I've managed to set up some mailboxes keeping \Seen flags as private. Thanks Timo for updating the documentation about that. But now, I've got another question: is it possible to keep those flags as private and have shared keywords ("Junk", "NotJunk", etc.)? [Dovecot] Time moved backwards by 4398 seconds

Dovecot (v1.1.rc8) died tonight, with an error about time moving backwards by 4398 seconds. I can see from logs that this has happend a few times before with the imap processes, without me noticing. I sure noticed the master process missing, though :-). I was puzzled that it was always 4398 seconds, in particular because this server runs an NTP daemon. A little searching for this problem shows that it is an issue with the Linux kernel gettimeofday(), see e.g. http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/8/23/96 Below is a patch (untested) to work around this issue. Do you see something wrong with this approach, apart from the uglyness? I just picked the 4395-4400 values by chance. Can you figure out how big the window should be? Hi, I'm using dovecot v1.0.rc15 (from debian etch) and I have some performance problems. [Dovecot] FETCH for mailbox got too little data

Using 1.1.1. Got this error message in a tight loop, using both Tbird and Mulberry 3 as client: FETCH for mailbox INBOX UID 32994 got too little data: 1616 vs 1649 I get this repeatedly alternating with a login line. What does this mean? I stopped the server, zipped ~/mail/.imap/INBOX to hide it and let dovecot recreate it, and things seem to be working again. Is there a less destructive way to fix this in the future? Delivery is by procmail.

But then, and this is a problem, the lowest quota limit is used, because it is not checked, if the mbox file acctually _resides_ in this filesystem. Well... I think what this behavior could be "fixed" in the same way I've used for GETQUOTAROOT: I've just implemented a callback function 'root_match_box' that returns 'true', if a Mailbox resides on the filesystem defined "mount=" in quota definition and 'false' if not. This optional function is used in 'quota_root_iter_next' to filter the list of all quota roots.
