Hello, I'm running revision 10622:de9d6dae7fe5 on AIX 5.3 with some local mods for our inbox hash function. I'm having a problem doing a "select inbox" when I use the mbox_snarf plugin. [Dovecot] add basic systemd support to dovecot

Hi all, In the last days, I've been trying to add support for systemd[1] socket activation to dovecot. The basic idea is that systemd takes care of opening the sockets needed by dovecot to communicate with external processes, and when a connection happens on one of these sockets, systemd spawns dovecot, and then dovecot uses these sockets instead of creating its own sockets. The main reason why I hacked on this was that I wanted to get on-demand startup of dovecot on my home box. WIth the patch attached to this email, I'm now able to do that. The patch includes a dovecot.socket file which should be seen as a sample file, however I'm not sure what is the best way to handle this file (systemd uses it to know which sockets dovecot needs). What I wanted to ask the list for now is if such a patch is wanted, and to get feedback on how things are done in it, and what should be improved in it. [Dovecot] Last login tracking with login_executable

Hi, I'm using Dovecot 1.2.14, and I've read PostLoginScripting on the wiki. Is there any way to make Dovecot use the same username/password for database access as userdb and passdb queries? Specifying the password with -p doesn't seem like a good idea, so I'm wondering if it can be handled by Dovecot directly. Or is it possible to track last logins with a plugin similar to quota? -- Denny Lin

Hi all, this is my first post to this list, and hope someone can help me ;-) I'm running dovecot.x86_64 1.0.7-7.el5 on a CentOS release 5.5 (Final) box. when a user tries to create a sub-subfolder in Archiv, he gets the message: "Mailbox doesn't allow inferior mailboxes" Mailclient is MS Outlook 2003 SP3 is there a spezial configuration in /etc/dovecot.conf needed? MailLocation is by default in /etc/dovecot: # See doc/wiki/Variables.txt for full list. [Dovecot] sdbox-format and sa-learn(spamassassin)

Hello, is it somehow possible to use sa-learn on sdbox-mailboxes? Maybe i can use dsync to "mirror" the mailboxes(only the spam-subfolder) to another location and convert it to mbox or maildir and act then on it with sa-learn? I know the antispam-Plugin, but until now no success, to get it running. So I think about an way, to learn via sa-learn on an file which i can process. Regards Ingo

[Dovecot] Dovecot 2.0.5 crash when It cannot remove maildir

This is scenario that cause segmentation fault in my Dovecot. Maybe I do something wrong, but I don't know what... We run: mailbox_delete mailbox_delete do: mailbox_open(box) < 0 and after we have: box->v.delete(box) which run index_storage_mailbox_delete index_storage_mailbox_delete do: mailbox_close(box); and now mailbox is closed (this close box->view and mailbox open) Try to delete folder, but can't do this... example becaus it is system folder, or NFS failure... set error message and return -1. Now we are returning to mailbox_delete.
