Hello! dsync SSL still doesn't work for replication, so I've disabled it and tried to sync without. But I have a problem with temp directory. Is it possible to change path to temp folder? I don't want to set permissions but change temporary folder for replication. outlook idiocy - IMAP folders with /

user attempts to create folders with / dovecot naturally cannot create it so it returns error but outlook of course "create" it and keep data in local store only. data is lost when you remove local store .pst file. The question is - can dovecot be configured so it will automatically replace slash in name with something else?

Limit IMAP/IMAPS listening IPs

Hello list. I am running dovecot v2.2.13 on debian 8.8; I tried to add a "address =" statement for only localhost and one private IP, but then I got a complaint from system: dovecot[20515]: Error: systemd listens on port 143, but it's not configured in Dovecot. Hi Aki I see what you are saying, and no I don’t believe so. I’m using typical /etc/passwd for the user db. I reviewed https://wiki.dovecot.org/UserDatabase/ExtraFields <https://wiki.dovecot.org/UserDatabase/ExtraFields> but I’m not clear on how to actually return system_user userdb attribute. I also have set mail_user_groups = sharedusers in dovecot.conf and then in /etc/group put all the users with mailboxes into the sharedusers group. I can see why that wouldn’t work if the above is not set. Can you point me in the right direction on how to pass that information? Error message upon boot up: doveconf: error: t_readlink(/var/run/dovecot/dovecot.conf) failed: readlink() failed: No such file or directory Starting dovecot. Dovecot appears to start correctly There is a link in the "/var/run/dovecot directory for dovecot.conf" lrwx------ 1 root wheel 35B 2018-04-10 10:21:52 EDT dovecot.conf@-> /usr/local/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf This error message has only started since the update to the latest version of dovecot. Hi, For CAs that do not include a signed certificate timestamp in their newly-issued certificates, does Dovecot support either OCSP stapling or the Certificate Transparency TLS extension? If the TLS extension is supported, how does the admin configure the timestamp for each certificate? I’m wondering if any MUAs will follow Google’s lead and insist on CT. Fatal: setgid, imap connections dropped.

Hi, I'm getting errors with my IMAP setup. Basically, everything seems to work. Mail is delivered nicely from Postfix to Dovecot via LMTP. Dovecot does the authentication to LDAP (also for Postfix). Users are able to send mail via authenticated submission (Postfix) and login into IMAP and POP. However, IMAP connections are dropped frequently with an "ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.". After pressing reload on the webmail, or refreshing in the client might help for a short period. So it fails intermittently. The errors in the maillog are below. It seems to be mixing up users kind of randomly. I think when multiple connections are made at the same time. Did a lot of searching, put couldn't find an answer to this problem. All I can find is related to LDA, which I'm not using. Any help would be appreciated. Problem getting quota-warning script to function.

Hello, I'm trying to implement quota enforcement in our mailservers, and it is all working properly except that the quota warnings are not firing when the quota levels are passed. the server stops accepting email when the quota is reached, and you can see tyhe quota usage through the email client connected through, but as the quota passes the set levels the /usr/local/bin/quota-warning.sh script is not called. I checked from the appropriate user and the script executes from the command line with no problem, but dovecot does not invoke it when the quota levels are crossed.
